Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Remove the Trunk Access Panel
Open the trunk and locate the plastic access panel on the inside of the trunk lid. Remove the four hand knobs securing the panel in place, with two knobs located on each side. Once removed, set the panel and hardware aside for reinstallation.
Step 2 — Remove the Trunk Side Trim
Locate the plastic retaining clip securing the carpet trunk liner near the tail light area. Remove the clip and carefully pull back the carpet liner to expose the rear mounting points for the factory tail light.
Step 3 — Remove the Factory Tail Light
With the trunk liner pulled back, locate the three 10mm nuts securing the tail light assembly. Remove all three nuts using a 10mm deep socket or wrench. Disconnect the factory wiring harness and carefully pull the tail light assembly away from the vehicle.
Step 4 — Transfer the Factory Trim Panel
Before installing the new tail light, remove the factory plastic trim panel attached to the back of the original lamp. The panel is secured with several retaining clips and can be removed by gently pulling outward. Once removed, install the panel onto the back of the new FORM Lighting tail light.
Step 5 — Install the FORM Tail Light
Position the new tail light onto the vehicle and connect the factory wiring harness. Align the mounting studs with the factory mounting holes and reinstall the three 10mm nuts removed earlier. Tighten the hardware securely, taking care not to overtighten.
Step 6 — Repeat for the Opposite Side
Repeat the same removal and installation procedure on the opposite side of the vehicle.
Step 7 — Reinstall Interior Trim Panels
Reposition the carpet trunk liner and reinstall the retaining clip. Reinstall the trunk access panel and secure it using the four hand knobs removed earlier. Verify that all trim panels are properly seated.
Step 8 — Test Tail Light Operation
Turn on the vehicle's lighting system and verify proper operation of the running lights, brake lights, reverse lights, and sequential turn signals. Confirm both lamps function correctly before closing the trunk.
